Dr. Alessi is a New York State licensed Psychoanalyst and a Clinical Associate Professor at the State University of New York At Buffalo, Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and treats the full range of behavioral health/mental health disorders.

He has been in private practice since 1980 providing treatment for adults, couples, groups and families. He also provides Life Point Focus, a unique personal coaching program developed to assist individuals in pinpointing and
implementing life goals.

Dr. Alessi has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, maturational and life transition issues, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, marital and family problems, adolescents, men’s issues and PTSD.
